Terri Shouldice - Flute

A native Calgarian, Terri’s love for music began at a young age, learning both the piano and later, the flute. She holds Grade 9 Certificates from the Royal Conservatory of Music in both piano and flute. At the end of her first year at the University of Calgary, Terri switched her major from piano to flute and graduated with a BMus/Secondary School Education.

Terri moved to Montana where she taught music both privately and in the school system. She played in the Butte Symphony Orchestra and Montana Tech Pep Band. Returning to Calgary to raise her four daughters (her other passion), Terri has played flute/piccolo with many different ensembles over the years including the Calgary Wind Symphony (formerly the Calgary Concert Band), Sinfonia Alberta, Metropolitan Winds, Alberta Winds, Calgary Civic Symphony, Chinook Five, Wild Rose Trio, Parthenia Flute Choir, Savridi Singers, accompanying choirs and numerous musicals in community pit orchestras. Terri has been fortunate to travel with her music to Europe four times! She is currently playing with the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra.

Terri studied flute most recently with Lauren Eselson, teaches clinics in the schools and continues her long-time membership with the Calgary Wind Symphony and more recently, the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra. Terri appreciates the opportunity to perform with her talented colleagues Mary Hamm (clarinet) and Aaron Wong (bassoon) in the Trinity Winds.
